Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe says that if National People’s Force leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake is able to build the economy in 6 months, he is ready to step down from the post of Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister says that the views of the MP Anura Kumara cannot be ruled out, even though it has never happened in any country in the world to bring a country whose economic growth rate has fallen to minus 6 to 7, to a positive economic growth rate within 6 months.
Therefore, if MP Anura Kumara has such a successful plan, the Prime Minister said in a special statement today in Parliament that he and the Cabinet of Ministers are ready to resign, and then he will request the President to appoint MP Anura Kumara as the Prime Minister.
