Justice Minister Dr. Wijedasa Rajapaksa says that the Ministry of Justice has submitted recommendations to the President for granting presidential pardon to former Member of Parliament Ranjan Ramanayake.
In a press conference, the Minister of Justice said that he had taken the advice of the Attorney General in this regard.
Accordingly, the Minister stated that after obtaining the report of the Prison Commissioner and the advice of the Attorney General, a recommendation has been submitted to the President for presidential pardon subject to a condition.
