The Department of Posts said that 95 percent of the postal ballot papers for the presidential election have been distributed.
Senior Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe said that only a small number of ballot papers allocated for military bases are yet to be distributed.
He added that these ballot papers will be dispatched tomorrow.
712,318 state sector employees are eligible to cast their votes by post in 2024.
The majority of these eligible voters are from the Kurunegala district, which accounts for 76,977 of the total.
The postal voting period for the 2024 presidential election is set for September 4, 5, and 6.
