Minister of State Shanta Bandara says that people who have skills in fields like welding, grinding, and painting have the opportunity to go for jobs in Korea.
The minister stated that it is unnecessary to pass the Korean language proficiency test for those job categories today (13) while attending the press conference to announce the cabinet decision.
Accordingly, anyone interested in this up to the age of 45 can go to the employment agency in Nawala under the Foreign Employment Promotion Bureau, he said.
The minister further mentioned that there is a possibility of getting a job in the Korean government after discussing with the technical committee there, the monthly salary starts at around eight and a half lakh Sri Lankan rupees and an NVQ certificate is not required for this.
