According to Delhi health authorities, the monkeypox virus has been detected for the first time in the country’s capital city of Delhi.
The individual has never traveled abroad before, according to PTI news agency, which quoted government sources.
According to the Health Ministry, the unnamed, 31-year-old man has been accepted to Maulana Azad Medical College. The patient had skin lesions and a fever when they were taken to the hospital.
This is notably the fourth instance of monkeypox in India. Southern Kerala state is where the preceding three incidents were recorded.
Monkeypox was classified as a worldwide public health emergency of international concern by the World Health Organization on last Saturday.
