A gazette notice has been issued that the maximum retail price, weight, volume, date of manufacture, expiry date, manufacturer’s name and village address must be included on the outside of the packaging of all merchandise.
This gazette notice has been issued with the signature of the Chairman of the Consumer Affairs Authority to be effective from the 28th of next month.
It further states that this gazette notice has been issued in accordance with the amended Consumer Affairs Authority Act No. 9 of 2003.
