Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatara has assured that the Government of India will extend its fullest support to Sri Lanka in overcoming the difficult situation that has arisen as a close friend.
He was speaking at a meeting with President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa this morning (23).
Sri Lanka has already received fuel, medicine, fertilizer and other essential food items under Indian loan assistance.
The Presidential Media Unit further stated that the two sides had a lengthy discussion on the future course of action of the Indian assistance program to stabilize and revive the Sri Lankan economy.
