The Litro Gas firm has made plans for 70 vehicles to deliver 140,000 LP domestic gas cylinders throughout Colombo City on Monday and Tuesday.
Domestic gas cylinders will be sent to agents around the country beginning Wednesday, according to the company. It is intended to maintain a continuous supply of Gas to consumers for the next four months in order to fulfill demand.
The first ship carrying 3700 MT of LNG is scheduled to arrive in Colombo Harbour tomorrow (10).
The Litro Gas Company and the World Bank concluded an agreement on June 30 to secure a continuous supply of gas for four months.
Under this arrangement, the country will get 100,000 MT of gas, with 22,000 MT of gas to be delivered this month. The World Bank will provide US$ 70 million for this goal, while the firm will provide US$ 20 million.
