Petroleum Corporation sources say that the price of fuel will be reduced by 50 to 100 rupees.
The reduction will likely take effect from midnight (1).
A spokesperson of the corporation said that it has been decided to reduce the price of oil in Sri Lanka in comparison to the drop in the price of oil in the world market.
Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe took steps to reduce the price of fuel by between ten and twenty rupees after assuming the office of Acting President.
