Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan, was sentenced to 14 years in prison. It is related to the non-return of the gifts received from foreign leaders and diplomats when Imran was the Prime Minister when he lost the Prime Ministership.

It has also been alleged that Imran and his wife sold the gifts they received. Bushra Bibi is Prime Minister Imran’s third wife. Imran, who is already in prison, was sentenced to another 10 years yesterday (30). That was after being convicted of a charge of leaking state secrets.

Imran Khan was deprived of the post of Prime Minister in the year 2022 by a vote of confidence presented to the Parliament by the opposition. In 2023, Imran was sentenced to 3 years in prison on corruption charges.

Many other corruption allegations have been made against Imran. Imran denies all the allegations and has said that he is being subjected to political vendetta.
