Human activist Malala Yousafzai, who has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and is a voice for Pakistani girls’ education, is on a trip to Brazil with her husband. 25-year-old Malala Yousafzai is married to Pakistani national Asir Malik. Asir Malik, 27, is a general manager of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

This is said to be Malala’s first visit to Brazil after marriage. Malala has also raised her voice on many occasions for the education of indigenous tribal children in Brazil. As the United Nations Special Representative. Little Malala lived in Pakistan’s Swat Valley. Malala’s father was a teacher. The Swat Valley was dominated by the Pakistani Taliban and their Sharia law. Accordingly, girls’ education was banned.

Malala, who was a schoolgirl, raised her voice for girls’ education through the BBC Urdu radio service. A Taliban sympathizer, who recognized Malala, boarded Malala’s school van, approached her and shot Malala in the head, asking who she was. It was October 9, 2012. Then Malala was 15 years old. David Cameron, who was the British Prime Minister at the time, intervened to immediately bring Malala, who was seriously injured, to Britain for treatment. Accordingly, Malala, her wife and father as well as her brother moved to Britain.

Malala received international recognition for her advocacy of girls’ education. She became an ambassador to the United Nations. She received a special evaluation from the Canadian government. She even addressed the Parliament of Canada. Malala has citizenship in Great Britain and Canada. Malala got married on November 10, 2021. Malala won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. (Reuters)
