The Supreme Court has issued a writ today (08) cancelling the position of State Minister Diana Gamage as a Member of Parliament. The Supreme Court has issued this writ order after hearing an appeal filed by social activist Oshala Herath.
A petition was submitted requesting a ruling that Diana Gamage is not legally qualified to sit in the Parliament of this country due to her British citizenship.
