The Danowita police state that a fire broke out in a household rubber gloves manufacturing factory in the Horagasmankada area of Dangowita.
The fire broke out suddenly and the officers of the Gampaha Municipal Council’s fire department tried to put out the fire, but two fire engines from the Wathupitiwala investment zone and two fire engines from the Colombo Municipal Council were also called to control the huge flames.
Although the fire was brought under control from time to time, it was not possible to control the fire completely by this morning. As of the morning of today 28th, there were no reports of any injuries or loss of life due to the fire. (Lankadeepa)
