The police have taken steps to implement the bus priority lane program in the Colombo region as a pilot project for two weeks from tomorrow to the 14th.
The police said that from now until the 14th of this pilot project, the entry of buses from near Wellawatta Savoy Cinema Hall to Galle Road, Pettah will be from 6.00 to 9.00 in the morning, the entry from Maradana Road, Borella junction to Olket Mawatha in Pettah will be from 6.00 to 9.00, and the exit will be implemented from 4.00 until 9.00 in the afternoon.
The police announced that only all buses belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board, private buses, school buses and vans, buses and vans transporting office staff can drive in this lane and other vehicles cannot enter this lane during the above time limits.
