A special police team of the Criminal Investigation Department is scheduled to go to Indonesia to investigate the mysterious murder of millionaire businessman Mr Onesh Subasinghe in an apartment complex in Jakarta, Indonesia, according to police headquarters sources.
It is reported that this murder took place in the last 02 days and after this murder, Onesh Subasinghe’s Brazilian wife and the Brazilian woman, who is said to be her assistant, fled the house with their four-year-old daughter. Jakarta Police investigation revealed that the group had fled to Qatar.
On January 20, Onesh said that he had gone to Indonesia with his wife, daughter and wife’s assistant for a vacation. Although this crime took place in Indonesia, as it appears that the preparations for the murder had taken place in Sri Lanka, the Criminal Investigation Department has started an investigation on the instructions of the Inspector General of Police Mr CD Wickramaratne.
Accordingly, the Criminal Investigation Department is ready to seek the assistance of the International Police for future investigations. (Lankadeepa)
