The Minister of Justice, Wijedasa Rajapaksha, has highlighted a possible situation which may arise if President Gotabaya Rajapaksa resigns abruptly.“They are asking the President to resign. If that problem resolves, what will be the next problem? What will happen if he resigns? The SLPP has a majority in Parliament today. The State Pharmaceutical Corporation and the Medical Supplies Division of the Ministry of Health have been summoned before the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) tomorrow (31). A shooting incident has been reported near the Bastian Mawatha Bus Depot in Colombo Fort today.The Police said two unidentified men on a motorcycle had opened fire at the location.Meanwhile, hospital sources said one person has been killed, while two others have been injured in the shooting.Investigations have been launched into the incident.
