An extraordinary gazette notice issued by President Ranil Wickramasinghe has been issued extending the term of office of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry, which was appointed to consider the reports of the commissions that investigated reconciliation, accountability and the promotion of human rights, until the 28th of next month.This commission consisting of three members was appointed by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on January 21, 2021, to review various investigations on the human rights situation in Sri Lanka.
