Provincial Education Ministry Secretary Sirisoma Lokuwithana states that 2500 graduates will be appointed for teaching vacancies in the Western Province.
The secretary has said that based on the results of the teachers’ examination held last October, teachers will be recruited here to teach primary, arts, commerce, science and mathematics streams, as well as general subjects, and the appointment letters will be issued today.
However, he added that there are more than 2000 teacher vacancies in the Western Province.
