The Court of Appeal today (18) will consider the petition filed by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, seeking an order to prevent his arrest in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday bomb attacks.
The petition was taken up yesterday before a bench comprising President of the Court of Appeal Justice Rohantha Abeysooriya and Justice Priyantha Fernando, said Ada Derana reporter.
During the proceedings, the President of the Court of Appeal ordered that the petition be called today for the verification of facts.
Accordingly, the petition is scheduled to be considered today before a Court of Appeal bench comprising President Justice Rohantha Abeysooriya and Justice Sarath Dissanayake.
