Kanchana Wijesekera, the Minister of Power and Energy, yesterday (6) inaugurated the 15 MW wind farm built by Hiruras Power Company, a subsidiary of Wind Force, in Mannar.
Electricity is produced here for the national grid through 6 wind towers and the company started construction here during the last economic crisis.
Local engineers and labour were able to complete the work here in a short period of time. (Lankadeepa)
