The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has decided to keep its policy interest rate unchanged. Accordingly, it has been decided to maintain the Standing Deposit Facility Rate (SDFR) at 8.5% and the Standing Lending Facility Rate (SLFR) at the current level of 9.5%.
This means that the interest rate that the public receives when depositing money in banks and the interest rate that the public has to pay when taking out loans remain at the same levels as they currently are.
