16 Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna party members of Parliament have decided to sit in the opposition in the future.
It is also reported that a group of members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party are also preparing to sit in the opposition. Meanwhile, it is also reported that several other members of the Samagi Janabala Party are preparing to join the all-party government to be formed. According to political sources, the position of the opposition leader will be challenged.
Currently, Mr. Sajith Premadasa is the leader of the opposition because he is the party with the largest number of MPs in the Parliament.
