President Ranil Wickramasinghe says that a task force will soon be established by combining the Ministries of Agriculture, Plantations and Irrigation and Mahaweli Development.
Accordingly, it is stated that this task force will be established by including representatives of the government as well as the private sector for agricultural modernization.
It is stated that this merger is done with the aim of efficiently solving problems related to agriculture with the resources of nine provincial councils.
