The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that it plans to start the online electronic billing system instead of issuing the printed water bill from the first of next month.
Accordingly, its Deputy General Manager Piyal Pathmanatha stated that the new system will be started in 04 selected regulatory areas first.
It is stated that an online electronic billing system will be started in connection with the 4 regional offices of Colombo South City, Kandy South City, Trincomalee and Polonnaruwa on a trial basis.
He further mentioned that this is expected to be spread throughout the island from January 1, 2024, and any information can be obtained by calling the number 1939.
