The Wildlife and Forest Resources Minister Mr. Mahinda Amaraweera opened the Parana Thotupola resort to accommodate local and foreign tourists who come to see the wild life of the Yala National Park.
100 million rupees have been spent under the financial allocation of the Ministry of Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation.
According to the Ministry, there are also viewing studio facilities where you can watch the wild animals roaming around at night.
The Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera, who made his comments while opening the Parana Thotupola tourist resort, said that since there is a dollar crisis in the country, foreign tourists were advised to charge money in dollars when booking resorts. The minister also agreed to provide immediate solutions to the fuel supply problem currently faced by safari drivers who provide vehicle facilities in Yala Park. Accordingly, Mr. Mahinda Amaraweera mentioned that he will discuss with the Minister of Transport to arrange the fuel they need from Kataragama Langama depot.
