A meeting was held between Chinese President Xi Jinping and French President Emmanuel Macron, who are in Paris, France. At the invitation of the French President, the Chinese President arrived at the Elysee Mall, considered the French Presidential Palace.
The Chinese President is visiting several European countries. His first stop is in France. Relations between European countries and China have deteriorated. That is because Russia has China’s support in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Chinese President Xi Jinping says this visit aims to strengthen the damaged relations.
The Chinese President is accompanied by his wife Peng Luan and a delegation from the Chinese government. French President Macron and his wife Brigitte Trognove worked to warmly welcome the French President and Lady who arrived at the Elysee Palace. Military honours were also held for the Chinese President. (AFP)
