Weather Alert – High Risk Alert

The showery condition over South-western part (Western,Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galleand Matara districts) of the island and the winds speed can be increased along the Western slope of the Central hills and in Western and Southern provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Northern and North-Western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts. Heavy falls above 100 mm can be expected at some places in aforesaid areas. Winds speed can increase up to 50 kmph at times along the Western slope of the Central hills and in Western and Southern provinces
