The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has said that the water supply will be suspended to several areas for a period of 10 hours today (May 08) from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Accordingly, it is stated that the water supply will be suspended on the main road from Kolonnawa Municipality, Moragasmulla, Rajagiriya, Obeysekarapura, Bandaranayakapura, Ethulkotte, Nawala, Koswatta, Rajagiriya to Nawala Open University and all the related side roads.
The board further stated that the electricity supply to the Kolonnawa Pumping Station will be suspended due to maintenance work being carried out by the Lanka Electricity Private Company (LECO).
