The Colombo Chief Magistrate has ordered the release of Wasantha Mudalige, the convener of the Inter-University Student Council, who was remanded in custody for charges under the Terrorism Act.
Announcing the order, the Chief Magistrate stated that no offence under the Prevention of Terrorism Act was found against the suspect.
