It has been revealed in the Parliamentary Committee on Ways and Means that the unpaid tax amount is about one trillion rupees.
It was also revealed that 175 billion rupees in taxes have been collected so far, and government employees are stuck without being able to collect enough taxes to pay their salaries.
The Committee on Ways and Means said that the a need to speedily implement the recommendations given about proposals such as preparing a specific system to collect tax from tuition classes, lawyer fees etc.
