The Paddy Marketing Board says that 7 lakh stocks of rice are missing from two government rice warehouses in Kurunegala area. Accordingly, the chairman said that two officers have been suspended in connection with the incident.
It is further stated that the value of the misplaced paddy stock is estimated to be between 650 and 700 million rupees.
