A Gazette notification has been issued creating two new ministerial portfolios.
As per the Gazette, the new portfolios are Minister of Technology and Investment Promotion and Minister of Women, Child Affairs & Social Empowerment.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa issued the Gazzette last night (09), amending a previous Gazette notification that was issued by him on the 27th of May.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC), Board of Investment (BOI), Sri Lanka Telecom, Department of Registration of Persons, Department of Immigration and Emigration, Port City Economic Commission, Standards Institution, Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA), and Lotus Tower fall under the Minister of Technology and Investment Promotion.
Meanwhile, The National Committee on Women, Sri Lanka Women’s Bureau, Department of Probation and Childcare Services, National Child Protection Authority, Department of Samurdhi Development, and Saubhagya Development Bureau fall under the Minister of Women, Child Affairs & Social Empowerment.
