The Met Department states that showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North Western provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts today (13).
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the Uva, Batticaloa and Ampara districts during the evening or night, the Department said.
Thundershowers will develop at times in the North, North-Central and North-western provinces and in the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
The Meteorological Department warns the public to take necessary measures to reduce the risk of temporary strong winds and thunderstorms.
