The Department of Meteorology says that there will be several periods of rain in Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
The department states that there is mainly rainless weather on the rest of the island.
On the western slopes of the central hills and in the northern and north-central provinces and in the Trincomalee district, the winds are blowing from time to time. There is a possibility of gusts of around 50 per km.
