The Department of Meteorology says that some rains may occur in North Central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Matale district.
The department stated that scattered rain or thundershowers may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts during the evening or night.
In some places in Sabaragamuwa province, Kalutara and Galle districts, mm. Highs above 50 are possible.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
