Today (16), the Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur at places in the evening or night in Central, Uva, Eastern, Northern and North Central provinces.
The department stated that there is mainly rainless weather in the rest of the island.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
