The Department of Meteorology says that a few showers of rain may occur in North, North Central and Eastern provinces.
In a few places in Sabaragamuwa province and Galle and Matara districts, there may be rain or thundershowers during the evening or night.
The Department of Meteorology urges the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
