Today (31), the Department of Meteorology says that there will be thunderstorms in the evening or at night.
It will also rain in the morning in the western Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts. Some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Eastern and Uva provinces will experience heavy rains of about 75 mm.
The department further said that the sea areas off the coast from Puttalam to Mannar and Kankasanture and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota can be quite rough from time to time.
