The Department of Meteorology says that in a few places in Sabaragamuwa province and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts, rain or thunder may occur in the evening or night.
The department mentioned that a few drops of rain may occur in the North, East and Uva provinces.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
