The Department of Meteorology says that today (28) there may be occasional rain in Sabaragamuwa province and Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
The department states that several rainy seasons may occur in the Western and North-Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
In Uva, North-Central and Eastern Provinces and Mullaitivu District, rain or thundershowers may occur at places in the evening or at night.
The Department of Meteorology requests that people take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
