Today (27th) the Department of Meteorology announces that there may be some periods of light rain in the Northern Province.
It is stated in the announcement that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in Uva, Eastern and Southern provinces during the evening or during the night.
It further stated that there may be foggy conditions in the morning in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
