The Department of Meteorology says that some rain may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (27).
The department stated that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in the Uva province and Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening or at night. In the rest of the island, the mainly rainless weather may continue.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
