The Department of Meteorology says that there is mainly rainless weather in many parts of the island.
The department mentioned that there may be some rain in the sea areas off the coast from Galle to Matara.
In the sea areas around the island, winds blow from the northwest or southwest and the wind speed is about 20-40 kilometres per hour.
