The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts in the evening or at night.
The department mentioned that there may be several rainy seasons in the Eastern and Uva provinces.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
