The Department of Meteorology says that there is mainly rainless weather in many parts of the island.
The department stated that the winds in the sea areas around the island are blowing from the northwest or southwest and the wind speed is between 20-40 kilometres per hour.
From Kankasanturaya to Trincomalee via Mullaitivu and from Colombo to Hambantota via Galle and Matara, there is a possibility of rough seas from time to time.
