The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the revision of the National Drug Policy.
Almost 15 years have passed since the drug policy was announced in 2005 and the government has recognized the need to revise the policy to suit the current needs.
Accordingly, it is said that the proposal presented by Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella to amend the National Drug Policy by a committee appointed by the Secretary of the Ministry of Health has been approved.
