The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur at some places in the evening or night in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-West and North-Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
The Department of Meteorology urges the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
