The Department of Meteorology says that occasional rain or thundershowers may occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
The department also stated that there is a possibility of heavy rains of more than 75 mm in some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
Rain or thundershowers may occur in the rest of the island in the evening or at night.
The Department of Meteorology requests that people take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary solid winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
