The Department of Meteorology announces that a slight increase in rainfall is expected in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts from today (03) evening.
Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts will experience rain from time to time. Some places in Sabaragamuwa province and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Kalutara districts received mm. The department has said that heavy rains of more than 50 may also occur.
It is said that there may be some rains in the Jaffna district and in Uva province, Batticaloa, and Ampara districts there may be rains or thundershowers at a few places during the evening or at night. In the western slopes of the central hills, the wind blows from time to time per km. The Department of Meteorology has further said that strong winds of around 50 are possible.
