The Department of Meteorology says that there may be rain or thundershowers from time to time in the Northern, North Central and Eastern provinces.
The department stated that some places in the Northern Province may experience heavy rains of more than 50 mm.
After 2.00 pm in Uva and Central Provinces, scattered showers or thundershowers may occur, while in North-West, Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces there may be several showers.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
